What do you need?
- Gravel Vacuum
How do you do it?
It’s quite an easy process, first you will need to put your empty bucket on the floor in a place that will make it easy to carry to dispose of. Second you will need a gravel vacuum. Which gravel vacuum is right for you? They all work essentially the same but each of them may vary slightly in the features they offer, below I will list a few great gravel vacuums you can purchase through Amazon.
VicTsing Quick Release Aquarium Vacuum
Luigi’s Aquarium/Fish Tank Siphon and Gravel Cleaner
BUYGOO Electric Aquarium Gravel Cleaner
Any of these three will do the job brilliantly.
How to get it started?
To get the siphon started, simply hold one end above the bucket but below the water level and begin to suck on the end of it! Once the water has passed the water level in the tank simply take your mouth away and watch as the water flows freely! Unless of course your vacuum comes with a pump, then follow the manufactures instructions.
Now begin to take all of the debris from off of the floor and be careful of the fish! When you need to stop simply place your finger over the end of the tube to stop the flow of water and follow the above step to get it started again! Now you know how to clean fish tank gravel.
